SPA Etiquette – How to Prepare for a Visit to Moonlight Spa
Spa etiquette is a set of simple rules that help ensure comfort, peace, and safety during treatments. Proper preparation allows you to fully utilize your time for relaxation and pampering. Please arrive approximately 10–15 minutes before your appointment. This time is needed to prepare for the treatment, complete the client's card, and have a brief consultation with the specialist.
Moonlight Spa is located on level −1 of the hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Krakow, at 5 Dąbska Street.
SPA etiquette before your visit – the most important tips
It's a good idea to eat a light meal before your appointment, but it's best not to do so immediately before your treatment. We also ask you to avoid alcohol and other substances that may affect your well-being and safety during the massage. Hair removal should not be performed on the same day before a peel or body treatment. It's also advisable to avoid intense sun exposure and tanning beds, especially if your skin is irritated, red, or overly sensitive.
During the consultation, please inform the person performing the procedure about your health, allergies, medications you're taking, pregnancy, previous injuries, and other ailments. This will allow for a tailored treatment and to rule out any contraindications.
What do we provide on site?
We provide all necessary equipment for your treatment, including towels, a bathrobe, flip-flops, and disposable underwear. There's no need to bring them with you.
Before the treatment begins, the staff member will explain the procedure and show you how to prepare. Guests are also given time to change into their clothes. During the massage, the body is appropriately covered, leaving only the area being massaged exposed.
Comfort during the procedure
During your treatment, we encourage you to share your feedback with the person performing the massage or treatment. You can request a change in pressure, temperature, body position, or music volume at any time. Your well-being and sense of safety are paramount. To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, please mute your phone and conduct conversations in a way that doesn't disturb others. Moonlight Spa staff ensure the discretion, privacy, and comfort of each guest.
Arriving late may shorten your treatment time, as subsequent appointments will start as scheduled. If you know you won't arrive on time, please contact the reception desk.
Safety and contraindications to the procedure
Guest safety is our top priority. Before beginning your treatment, please inform the staff member of any chronic illnesses, infections, fever, inflammation, skin conditions, recent injuries, recent medical procedures, or other ailments.
Information about pregnancy, medications, or allergies allows us to choose the appropriate technique and cosmetics for the treatment. If you have any concerns about your health, it's best to consult your doctor beforehand.
If the performance of a selected service could pose a health risk, the employee may suggest changing the service, rescheduling the appointment, or refusing to perform the procedure. Procedures are not performed on individuals under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.
What to do after the procedure?
After a massage or beauty treatment, it's a good idea to take a moment to rest and drink water. Immediately after your appointment, it's best to avoid intense physical activity, alcohol, or activities that may further strain the body.
After peels and body treatments, we recommend gentle skin care and avoiding intense sun exposure. Specific instructions may vary depending on the service selected, so please follow the instructions provided by the person performing the treatment.
The SPA label helps you stay comfortable even after your visit. If you experience an unusual skin reaction or feel unwell, please contact Moonlight Spa and, if necessary, your doctor.
Changing or canceling your visit
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please inform the Moonlight Spa reception desk as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer an alternative appointment and make the remaining space available to the person waiting for an appointment.
For reservations with a deposit, promotion, or voucher, the terms and conditions for rescheduling your stay may vary depending on the specific offer. If you have any questions, please contact reception before your planned visit.
Current rules for booking, payment and cancellation of treatments are available in the Moonlight Spa regulations.
